Tuition

Our resident Golf Professionals are available to pass on their expertise and teach all levels of golfers through a wide variety of tuition packages. In addition, the Golfing Union of Ireland National Academy offers indoor driving bays, grassed tee areas and an extensive short game practice area with three USGA-spec greens and a large bunker complex.

CORPORATE TUITION

Rolling Clinics One instructor per 20 golfers
A PGA professional will be on hand while you warm up to offer guidance and answer any questions you might have on how best to approach the course.
Fee €200 per hour per professional

Demonstration Clinic One instructor per 20 golfers
A PGA professional will demonstrate a few techniques and hints that will be helpful in playing a round. He will then invite the guests to have a go themselves.
€200 per hour per professional

Short Game Clinic One instructor per 20 golfers
A specialist session on chipping and bunker play carried out by a PGA professional. This is a combination of demonstration and tuition.
€200 per hour per professional.

Beat The Pro
A PGA professional will be on hand on a chosen par 3 to challenge your guests to try and beat him. It adds a
challenge and fun factor to the day.
€150 per hour per professional

Corporate Clinics can be tailored to suit individual needs and requests.
These prices include golf balls and any equipment needed.

TEACHING PROFESSIONALS

Francis Howley, Carton House Director of Golf
Francis is a former European Tour Member and also a fully qualified PGA Professional. He played on the European tour from 1996 to 1998 and also on numerous other tours around the world.
He has worked over the years with some of the world's leading golf instructors including Pete Cowen, John Jacobs, Denis Pugh and David Pelz and has gained vast knowledge and experience from not only these coaches but from some of Europe’s leading golfers.
He has a very simple approach to teaching and believes in teaching the individual rather than teaching a method.
He was victorious in the El Diablo Open in America and has won numerous Pro-Ams around Ireland along with losing to Padraig Harrington in a play off for the Irish PGA Championship.
